Administrative simplification is on the agenda for third-country airlines that wish to fly to EU destinations. From November 2016, they will be required to hold a single air safety authorisation issued by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), certifying their compliance with international safety standards. This single authorisation will replace the multiple national authorisations required today. It will be valid throughout the EU.
