Swoboda proposes single leader for eurozone issues

The President of the Socialist group, Hannes Swoboda (Austria), defended, on 4 March, a single post at the eurozone's helm. In his view, the president of the Eurogroup (the eurozone finance ministers' meeting) should also be a vice-president of the European Commission, responsible for eurozone policies. In parallel, another commissioner should deal with non-eurozone economic matters.
